Sunday Mass : Every Sunday at 9.30am during term time in the Abbey Church at Worth School
Worthians are most welcome to join the School for Mass which takes place every Sunday during Term time at 9.30am in the recently refurbished Abbey Church.
Worthians Rugby : Every Wednesday evening
Every Wednesday evening – Worthians RFC plays Touch rugby in Fulham: 7pm Hurlingham Park. Meet in the middle of the 400m track. Visit www.wobsrugby.com to find out more.
Worth Society Events :
The Friends of Worth Jubilee Jamboree takes place on Saturday 26th May at Worth School from 12 noon to 4pm
The next big date in the Friends of Worth calendar is the Worth Jubilee Jamboree – an event to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee and bring together the school community for a giant street party-style day, with many traditional attractions and some high octane rides for those with strong stomachs! There will also be a huge hog roast and BBQ and lots of family-friendly stalls for all ages to enjoy. We would be delighted to welcome anyone who attended Worth Prep School in 1952 and 1953 . Worthians Cricket and Tennis Matches and our inaugural Girls’ Netball Match are ALL taking place on Speech Day, Saturday 2nd June 2012 at Worth School starting at 2.00pm
This will be a great opportunity for Worthians to catch up with old friends when we welcome back our cricket, tennis and netball enthusiasts to Worth School on Speech Day. You are welcome to bring along family and friends and enjoy a picnic in the grounds of Worth from 12 noon. All matches will start at 2.00pm. Worthians Cricket : Worthians versus Occasionals on Sunday 22nd July 2012 at Worth School starting at 2.00pm
This is the first fixture of the season for our Worthian Cricketers after the Worthians versus School Team match on Speech Day. If you would like to join the team for this match, or are interested in playing at other fixtures during the Season, then please contact the Club Captain, Simon Jones at skjones@reedsmith.com.
The Henry Surtees Brooklands Team Challenge Event takes place during the afternoon of Wednesday 4th July 2012 on the Mercedes-Benz World test circuit at Brooklands
This charity fund-raising event, in aid of the Henry Surtees Foundation, is a 2-hour endurance race for teams of 4 or 5 people. It is being organised by John Surtees, father of the late Henry Surtees (C’09), and the racing will be followed by a champagne reception, prize-giving and interviews. Worthians RFC XV versus the School 1st XV and Worthian Girls’ Hockey XI versus School 1st XI both take place on Sunday 9th September 2012 at Worth School starting at 2.30pm
The Worthians RFC season culminates with this tightly contested annual match versus the School 1st XV; and we will also be welcoming back the Worthian Girls for their second Hockey match versus the School 1st XI. The 10-Year Reunion for the Class of 1997-2002 is taking place on Saturday 15th September 2012 at a London venue (tbc) from 4pm onwards
Chris Kellaway has kindly taken on the mantle as co-ordinator of the 10-Year Reunion for the ‘Class of 1977-2002′. The plan is to meet for Mass at around 4pm and then move on for drinks and dinner. Details of the venues will be posted here as soon as they are available. The 30-Year Reunion for the Class of 1977-82 is taking place in the evening of Thursday 20th September 2012 at a London venue (tbc)
Giles Hamilton, Crispin Hayhoe and Neil Laughton are acting as our valiant co-ordinators for the 30-Year Reunion of the ’Class of 1977-82′. We will be confirming the exact location and evening timings by the end of May. Worthians annual Football Tournament : The Worthians Under 21s and Over 21s versus the School 1st XI and Staff teams on Sunday 24th March 2013 at Worth School starting at 2.00pm
This will be our fifth Worthians Football Tournament and we would like to field enough Under 21 and Over 21 players to field at least two teams to take on the School 1st XI and Staff teams in this popular annual tournament.
