Worth Society Events

Here you can find a list of forthcoming events being organised by Worth Society or the Worth Community, as well as sporting fixtures and annual reunion gatherings.

Weekly Events:

School Mass Worthians are most welcome to join the School and the Monastic Community at Mass in the Abbey Church at 5:10pm every Thursday during term-time.

Sunday Parish Mass Worthians are most welcome to join the Monastic Community at the Parish  Mass which takes place every Sunday at 9.30am in the Abbey Church.

Worthians Rugby: Every Wednesday evening Every Wednesday evening – Worthians RFC plays Touch rugby in Fulham: 7pm Hurlingham Park.  Meet in the middle of the 400m track.  Visit to find out more.

Forthcoming Events:


The Inaugural Worthians Summer Rugby Festival will take place on Saturday 5th September 2015 at the home ground of the Worthians at Whiteley Village (KT12 4EJ), with teams of Worthians fighting it out in a Rugby 7s competition for the ‘Silver Fox’ Trophy. Family and friends are all welcome as there’ll be children’s activities, the ‘Belpassi Bros famous meatballs’ and a raffle with exciting prizes. The event will be concluded with an evening social event at The Goat Pub (, a short walk from Clapham Junction, to celebrate the beginning of what we hope to be another successful Worthian rugby season. If you would like to be a part of this special event (as a player or spectator) then please do email and  Other key events of the early season are the Cronk-Cunis National Under-21 XVs Competition on Monday 31st August at Richmond for which we are particularly keen to recruit recent leavers and the annual Young WOBS vs Old WOBS at Worth for the ‘Glenn Robertson Challenge Trophy’ on Sunday 13th September!


The class of 1995 Leaver’s 20 Year Reunion will be held on Saturday 26th September 2015 from 7pm at the Prince Albert Pub in Battersea, London.  Toby Rumford, Tony Abbot and Nick Ryan are co-ordinating this event which will cost approx. £50 per head for food and drink.  If you are interested in attending then do please contact Toby Rumford on email at or Mary Lou Burge at


The inaugural Worthians London to Worth Cycle Ride will take place on Sunday 27th September 2015.  With the help of PIE, a bespoke cycling challenge company, we’ll meet from 8:15am at the Kennington Park Cafe.  There will be 2 routes to choose from; a 40 mile or a 60 mile, coursing through the leafy lanes of Surrey and Sussex to meet up with your families for a buffet lunch upon arrival at Worth at approx 1:30pm.  Worth Society and Worth School are assisting in the funding of the event, so there is only a cost of £25 for a Worth Society Member and £50 for a N0n-Member taking part in the ride.  If you are interested in taking part then do please email Mary Lou ASAP at


The class of 1965 Leavers’ 50 Year Reunion will be held on Friday 2nd October 2015 at Worth School.   This will take the form of a lunch after Abbey Prayers at 1pm following tours of the School from 11:30am. If you would like to attend please contact Mary Lou Burge at


The seventh Annual General Meeting of Worth Society will take place at 6:30pm on Tuesday 13th October 2015 in the Cowdray Room at Worth School, followed by an informal supper and Committee Meeting.  Please let Mary Lou Burge at know if you would like to attend.
