Here you can find a list of forthcoming events being organised by Worth Society or the Worth Community, as well as sporting fixtures and annual reunion gatherings.

 

Weekly Events:

Sunday Mass: Every Sunday at 9.30am during term time in the Abbey Church at Worth School
Worthians are most welcome to join the School for Mass which takes place every Sunday during Term time at 9.30am in the beautifully refurbished Abbey Church.

Worthians Rugby: Every Wednesday evening
Every Wednesday evening – Worthians RFC plays Touch rugby in Fulham: 7pm Hurlingham Park.  Meet in the middle of the 400m track.  Visit www.wobsrugby.com to find out more.

Downside Fisher Youth Club Annual Boxing Dinner, 6:30pm, Wednesday 9th April 2014 at The Troxy, 490 Commercial Road, London E1 0HX

A major fundraising event for the Downside Fisher Youth Club and their vital work with young people in Bermondsey, and a real chance to see amateur boxing at its best.  The Fisher Amateur Boxing Club, founded in 1908, is one of the leading amateur Boxing Clubs in the country, boasting three ex-world champions, one of which is Lloyd Honeyghan who will be in attendance. The Sixteen in Concert at Worth Abbey for Outreach Peru, 7:30pm, Sunday 15th June 2014.

They are one of the finest choirs in the UK and we are very privileged to have them coming to Worth.  Tickets are now on sale at The National Centre for Early Music Box Office (www.ncem.co.uk/thesixteen or 01904 651485).  Ticket prices are £25 for the main space and £20 for the balcony. We have been advised that tickets are likely to sell out early so do book your tickets soon for this very special event. St Mary’s House Reunion at Worth School, Wednesday 2nd July 2014 at 7pm.  With Honorary Guest, Caroline Brown.  Further details to follow.

 

Class of 1984 Leavers 30 Year Reunion on Saturday 20th September 2014 at Soho House, 40 Greek Street, London W1.  Angus Hamilton, Edward Hooper & Luan de Burgh are co-ordinating this event.  Further details to follow.

 

Class of 1994 Leavers 20 Year Reunion on Saturday 4th October 2014 at Montpeliano Restuarant, 12 Montpelier Street, London Sw7 1HG at 1pm.   Francesco de Siena is very kindly co-ordinating this event.  Further details to follow.

 

‘Call My Bluff’ Wine Tasting Evening on Thursday 9th October 2014 at The Inns of Court & City Yeomanry, Chancery Lane, London WC2 at 7pm.  Further details to follow.

 

Worthian Remembrance Mass.  You are warmly invited to join the School in the Abbey to not only remember those killed in conflict but also to remember Worthians who have died.  Thursday 6th November 2014 at 5pm or with the Worth Abbey Parish on Sunday 9th November at 9:30am.

 

Open Cloister: Ongoing Programme
