The Class of 1969 50 Year Reunion Lunch will take place on Thursday 27th June 2019 at Worth School. The day will commence at 11am with coffee followed by a tour of the School and lunch with former staff. If you were the Class of 1964 to 1969 and would like to register to attend with your partner then do please get in touch with Mary Lou Burge.

 

The first ever Friends of Worth Family Festival will be held on Saturday 29th June, 4pm-9pm, on the Austin Oval Pitch at Worth with a whole host of attractions including an assault course, bucking bronco, photo booth, afternoon teas, ice creams, mocktails & shakes, pimms & gin bar, paella and street food.  In the evening there will be a silent disco, live jazz and a special guest appearance by Worthian DJ Seb Emmins ’17 , roasting marshmallows around the fire and a fireworks grand finale. Entry is free but you need to book your ticket, so contact fow@worth.org.uk

 

The Class of 1999 Leavers’ 20 Year Reunion is being planned for the evening of Saturday 6th July 2019 at The Plough Bar & Kitchen, 89 St John’s Hill, Battersea, London SW11 1SY with informal drinks and platters of finger food. Please contact Mike Matthews B’99 or Mary Lou Burge to register your interest in attending.

 

The Class of 2009 Leavers’ 10 Year Reunion is being planned for Friday 12th July 2019 from 7pm on the Princes Rooftop at The Ned, 27 Poultry, London EC2R 8AJ at a cost of £25 for the venue hire and finger food. There will be a cash bar on the night. The event will be ticketed and tickets must be purchased prior to the event. To start the celebrations for the 60th anniversary  of Worth Senior School, Worthians are cordially invited to attend the School Family Mass at 11am in the Abbey Church on Saturday 7th September 2019 and stay on to watch the Worthian Youngers vs Olders Rugby Match at 12:30pm. Further details to follow.

 

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Worth Senior School, there will be a Worthian London Mass & Supper on Wednesday 18th September 2019 at 7pm at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Farm Street, London W1. A Worthian Choir will be led by Michael Oakley and they will be accompanied by Worth Abbey Organist, D’Arcy Trinkwon. Following Mass, Worth Society will host a supper in the Parish Hall with food provided by Belpassi Bros and wines provided by Argentinian Wine Specialist, Las Bodegas.

 

As part of the 60th Anniversary Celebrations we will be hosting a Worthian Gathering in Munich on the evening of Friday 20th September 2019 at 7pm. Venue to be confirmed. This will be a dinner which will be attended by Worth Staff including former Gervase House Master, Andrew Taylor. The First Cohort of Pupils that arrived for the start of the Senior School in 1959 are warmly invited to attend a Special Anniversary Mass in the Abbey Church followed by a Lunch on the actual 60th anniversary date of Sunday 22nd September 2019.

 

The Class of 1989 Leavers’ 30 Year Reunion is being planned for the evening of Thursday 26th September 2019 at Fino’s, 123 Mount Street, London W1 with drinks and platters of food. Eddie Robinson B’89 and Paddy Hopkirk G’89 are helping to coordinate. Please contact Mary Lou Burge to register your interest in attending.

 

This year’s annual Hong Kong Dinner will be held on the evening of Friday 18th October at The Hong Kong Club.  Further information to follow in due course.

 

Weekly Events:

Worthians are most welcome to join the Monastic Community at the Parish Mass which takes place every Sunday at 9:30am in the Abbey Church.
