The Worth Community were honoured to host the Episcopal Ordination of Fr John MacWilliam (StB’67) as Bishop of Laghouat, Algeria in the Abbey Church on Saturday 20th May 2017.  With some of Fr John’s Worthian contemporaries from 50 years ago joining many current students in the congregation it was a very proud day for Worth.

It was an overwhelming number of Worthians, particularly from the WOBS RFC, and many teachers and former teachers, who attended Adam Braverman’s (StB/G’05) Celebration of Life in the Abbey Church on 10th May.  Stef Reynolds (StB’05) shared the eulogy with Adam’s best friend from University, Angus Brown, and we were accompanied by a gospel choir singing some wonderfully uplifting tunes such as ‘Swing Low Sweet Chariot’ in honour of Adam’s commitment to Worthian Rugby and ‘You’ll never walk alone’ in memory of his support of Liverpool FC.  Rest in Peace Adam.

It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the tragic death of Adam Braverman (StB/G’05) RIP in Hong Kong on Saturday 15th April 2017.  A Celebratory Memorial will be held on Wednesday 10th May 2017 at 2:30pm in the Abbey Church here at Worth. This will be followed by refreshments and a Celebration of Adam’s Life from 4pm at The Wiremill, Wire Mill Lane, Felbridge, Surrey RH7 6HJ.  Transport will be provided from Worth.  If you would like to send any special photos or remembrance to the family please email them to photosofads@gmail.com  Charity donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Children’s Charity of Rugby, Wooden Spoon, using this Just Giving Link.
