On Friday 29th April, Lorenzo Curci (B’00), Alistair Stirling (B’00), Hugo Sanders (R’00) and James Pymont (B’00) are taking on the audacious challenge of taking Citi bikes (at 23 kilos each) from London and riding them up Alpe d’Huez, one of France’s toughest climbs, in 24 hours, or face a fine of £150 from Transport for London’s Cycle Scheme!  This is all in aid of The Stroke Association and the National Brain Appeal.  If you would like to help them reach their target of £50,000 you can sponsor them at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/Huez24hr  We wish them the very best of Worthian luck!

 

Worth School Choir were honoured to be the first British school choir to perform alongside the prestigious Sistine Chapel Singers in St Peter’s Rome at the Jubilee Mass for Young People on Sunday 24th April.   It was a wonderful opportunity for all involved and was organised thanks to Worthian, Mark Spyropoulos (StB’99), who is the first Brit to be a permanent member of the Sistine Chapel Choir.  To watch the mass do click on this link https://youtu.be/GZAOHhI7YGo

 

Thomas Ludicke (B’09) is delighted to announce his engagement on 20th February 2016 to Theresa-Maria Werner of Aschbach, Bavaria.

 

It is with much sadness that we have been informed of the death of ex staff member Professor Declan Anderson RIP on 27th March 2016.  Professor Anderson taught silversmithing in the School from 1990 to 2003.  We send our love and deepest sympathy to his family.
