On Sunday 29th November there will be a concert of Advent and Christmas Music from Handel’s Messiah performed by the Worth Abbey Consort, Orchestra and soloists in the Abbey Church at 7.30pm. The performance will last for just over an hour with well-known movements including ‘And the Glory of the Lord’, ‘For Unto Us a Child Is Born’, ‘Hallelujah’, concluding with ‘Worthy Is the Lamb’ and the great ‘Amen’ chorus. Retiring collection will be for Outreach Peru.

We have heard the sad news of the death of Patrick Garry, a teacher here at Worth during the 1960s.  His funeral mass will be held on Tuesday 24th November at 12 Noon at St Peter in Chains RC Church, Womersley Road, Stroud Green, London N8. www.stpeterinchains.com followed by cremation at Islington Crematorium, East Finchley.
